Structural Characterization

In addition to the state-of-the-art facilities in the J. Earl and Mary Roberts Characterization Suite, the MSE department also houses a range of other imaging facilities. One example is a laser scanning Multi-photon Confocal Microscopy Facility (MCMF) with a fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy module. The MCMF allows for the imaging of microscopic objects and their dynamics deep within a three dimensional sample with very little photo-damage and with high spatial and temporal resolutions.
