MSE Restricted Electives

There is one set of Restricted Electives [RE]; each student in the Standard or Coop program must take at least 45 units from this list; in the double major programs at least 36 units are required. The total of 45 units can be reached in any combination of the courses below (e.g., 8X6, 5X6 + 2X9, ...). The restricted elective list includes MSE courses and other associated materials related courses given by other departments. Courses which are also Graduate Level courses will remain 9 units for undergraduates and 12 units for graduate students, except for the back to back mini-courses 27-421 and 27-533 that will remain 6 units.

Undergraduates can also take any 700 level MSE graduate course as an MSE restricted elective.
